Sara’s Beach Walk is an annual event dedicated to the memory of Sara Goodwin. The walk will span 1, 5 and 15 miles of the beautiful beach and will take place in the latter part of each year. Sara's Annual Beach Walk was designed to accommodate just about anyone with a desire to participate, from the serious Hard Walker to our younger generation, the Punk Walkers, and also finally to our Strollers.
7.00 AM - Hard Walkers
This walk is 15-miles along the beach. Starting at the north eastern tip of the Huntington Beach State Park, walkers will head southeast along the beach to Midway Inlet, overlooking Pawley's Island, where they will turnaround and head northeast along the entire length of the beach, past the starting point. Once at Murrel's Inlet, Hard Walkers once again, make an about turn and head back to the finish line!
10.00 AM - 11.00 AM Strollers & Punk Walkers
This walk is for participants who choose to take a leisurely stroll in the last 5-mile stretch, joining the Hard Walkers on the walk up to Murrel's Inlet and back.
This walk is also for participants with children, and younger walkers up to 12 years old who can join the walk at the final mile with the Strollers.
It really doesn't matter how far you walk. It's the taking part that really counts!
11.30 AM BBQ at the State Park
Come along and support the charity and have a picnic at the park!
